Taste of Peoria - 2003
The 22nd Annual Taste of Peoria was held on Wednesday, August 13th from 4
- 11 p.m. in downtown Peoria, Illinois. Take a look at some of the 40 local
restaurants that articipated!
At left, the Ponte Vecchio team, all dressed
in red and khaki, served a very tempting tiramisu. Ponte Vecchio is located at
Sheridan Village in Peoria.
Weaver Ridge executive chef Jeff Selvig and a BBQ buddy managed the grill just fine!
Hick'ry Stick kept busy serving their hickory smoked ribs and pulled Pork. These ribs are fantastic, and that's not just according to Ron and Mary Foster, either!

Camille's Sidewalk Cafe, the new addition to The Shoppes at Grand Prairie, offered Chicken Caesar Wrap, Tex Mex Wrap, and Smoothies.
The smiling ranch hands of Lone Star Steakhouse & Saloon brought their famous
ribs to downtown Peoria.
Boyd's Steakhouse served Southern BBQ sandwiches and Key Lime Tarts. Jonelle, at right, and her friend, draw the crowd with their colorful costumes and theme-inspired Par-A-Dice umbrella decorated with cards.

Culver's is famous for their homemade custard, so their choice was simple! The crowd lined up for a sampling of their Turtle Sundae and Carmel Cashew Sundae. VOP's happy crew served a tasty spinach artichoke dip.
